Sony has also updated the PS Vita firmware recently which was followed by an update to the PS3 firmware. They have been doing these small updates that they claim improve system stability and performance, but it is mostly an attempt to fix any exploits that are discovered for the hardware. The latest PS3 firmware update is version 4.85 and the official PlayStation USA website doesnt appear to reference it.The changelog is available to view on the regional PlayStation websites.
It simply lists the following information which is pretty generic. 4.85 Software Update VersionMain features in PS3 system software update version 4.85: This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.
